Creating a Buzz: DJ Micro Re-Launches Caffeine Recordings

Los Angeles (Billboard Publicity Wire) August 24, 2008 -- DJ Micro drops his latest mix record "Inside of Me" on his newly resurrected label, Caffeine Recordings. The prolific progressive trance 'beat-meister' brings his renowned skills as a music producer/dj/remixer to the iconic label. "I wanted to create an outlet for groundbreaking techno mixes. Some of the best stuff never gets heard. So bringing back Caffeine this is my way of exposing it to the light."

The new single "Inside of Me" continues DJ Micro's signature tradition of mixing sounds while staying true to the genre and features John Debo and Discoveri. He is nominated by DJ Times as "America's Best DJ" and is currently on the "America's Best DJ Tour". He was also nominated for "Best DJ Set" at the 2008 Club World Awards. DJ Micro helped form the original Caffeine Records collective in New York in the early 1990s. The dance label became a clubbing institution and grew into a recognized brand on the East Coast. Popular among the Rave kids, Caffeine Clothing became all the rage around the country. Specializing in acid breakbeat DJ Micro spun at all of Caffeine's capacity parties as one of their resident DJs.
